Description
Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a full-time clinician with a clinical focus in colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, motility disorders, women's GI health, advanced endoscopy, or general gastroenterology. The Montefiore GI Division performs approximately 14,000 endoscopic procedures annually, using the most advanced endoscopy and colonoscopy technology to treat disorders of the digestive system. Through the support of our researchers, our physicians have access to the most advanced technology, treatments, and diagnostics in gastroenterological care.
This opportunity is to join our team of distinguished Gastroenterology faculty and 1 NP based at our Weiler or Moses campus in the Bronx with opportunities to practice in a new state of the art multidisciplinary center in Westchester County. Advanced therapeutics not required, though welcome. GI inpatient care strictly consultative. Consult service is staffed by GI fellows at all times and supervised by all faculty members on a rotating basis. Inpatient consult service coverage 6-8 weeks per year. Fellow endoscopy coverage 1-2 ½-day sessions per week. Remainder is outpatient care with time in modern, LPN-staffed ambulatory site (Hutch Tower or Taxter Road) and one of our affiliated ambulatory endoscopy centers (New York GI or Advanced Endoscopy Center).
The more common procedures include:
- Colonoscopy and removal of polyps
- Upper endoscopy
- Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
- Endoscopic ultrasound
- Esophageal and rectal manometry
- Capsule endoscopy
- Endoscopic reflux therapy
- Gastrointestinal motility services
We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. In addition to a competitive salary of $400,000-$420,000 depending on rank and experience, we offer the opportunity to make additional income with productivity incentives. LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b) are also offered.
