The National Institutes of Health (NIH), the U.S. government's premier biomedical and behavioral research enterprise, invites candidates with outstanding clinical skills to apply for the position of Staff Clinician, NIH Clinical Center (CC), Section on Congenital Disorders, Bethesda, MD. The CC is the world's largest hospital entirely dedicated to translational clinical research that provides compassionate patient care and unparalleled opportunities for advancing clinical research, a key component of the Intramural Research Program portfolio.

The incumbent will be responsible for providing high quality care to patients enrolled in clinical trials and will work as a member of a dynamic team supporting a clinical research program studying congenital adrenal hyperplasia. The incumbent will play an important role in the conduct of clinical research and will gain translational and clinical research experience. The incumbent will have opportunities to integrate clinical and scientific goals and objectives into the practice of clinical research. Responsibilities will include clinical care, clinical research activities and teaching. The position offers exceptional opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration both within and outside NIH.

Qualifications: We seek an individual who possesses exceptional analytic and clinical skills, a high level of performance, and the ability to partner within a complex clinical research setting. The ideal candidate will possess a M.D. (or equivalent degree) and clinical research experience is desirable. The candidate must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted medical license, and must be board-eligible or board-certified. We are particularly interested in individuals who are board-eligible or board-certified in endocrinology or pediatric endocrinology.
