Job Summary

The Field Quality Engineer will be based in Texas, Remote. In this position, you will report to the Quality Director.

This team member will be responsible for following up on issues related to nonconformance to quality requirements for any sub-component, component, or system. 

  • Strong knowledge of quality control techniques similar to automotive practices TS 16949, Good problem-solving skills, ability to effect change, good problem solving skills.
  • Understanding of large-scale construction projects and how to work with construction and project managers.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do…

  • Work with NX suppliers (current and future) and/or NX construction and project managers to ensure product quality requirements are met from NPI through production and installation.  Provide quick attention to emerging field issues to assist in containing them at the project site and also at suppliers facilities.  The Field Quality Engineer will help to validate containment and root cause for quality issues and verify the resulting fixes are effective to ensure corrective and/or prevention of the problem.  This individual wil report back to NX HQ a minimum of weekly with escalation on daily basis of critical concerns that may need immediate action.

Here is some of what you'll need (required)…

  • Engineering or Quality associate degree with experience in implementing quality practices at multiple suppliers.  Experience in manufacturing floor techniques to control quality from IQC, to process control plans to Outgoing inspection procedures.  Ability to calculate process capability (Cpk) for critical attributes.  Good understanding of minimum quality requirements at a factory to ensure low-to-no defects flow out of factory.
  • Ability to travel,  sometimes with minimal advanced notice.

Here are a few of our preferred experiences…

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to put information into a PPT, or Excel.
  • Detail oriented and willing to dig to help identify the nature of field and/or factory issues.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanicals Engineering preferred) or Trade or Technical School (Certificate or diploma)

Pay Range (Applicable to US Remote). Due to this role being remote, the actual pay range will vary depending on the geographical location of the candidate

$67,400.00 USD - $92,700.00 USD Annual
