Job Description:

The NPI Program Engineer - Mechanical will be based in Fremont. The Program Engineer will be responsible to lead, manage overall focused projects timeline. These individual will specifically tasked to roll out project plan with cross functional team following up with stakeholders to ensure execution.

Here is the key role of what you will do…

  • Collaborate with sourcing, NPI, R&D, project services, asset management team to roll out program timeline for launch.

  • Ensure alignment of defined strategies between manufacturing sites globally.

  • Monitoring of key milestones ensuring adherence to identified timelines and deliverables of key objectives for assigned program.

  • Adapting to changing product and schedule needs

  • Coordinates the delivery on NPI phase in contract manufacturing to allow for the quickest “turn” possible for material procurement, product assembly and product testing, field testing & PPAP.

  • Lead program readiness, gate reviews with cross functional team.

  • Coordinates problem solving, and escalates challenges encountered on the program that affect Quality and to meet commitments, accountable for the project performance and address any gaps to assure alignment.

Here are some of what you'll need (required)…

  • 7-10 years experience as a program lead, familiar with NPI process, preferably from large ODM vendors with +5 years in serving large OEM customers in consumer electronics, or home appliances, or medical.

  • Experience of managing multinational team and sites is required.

  • Team player with strong negotiation skill is a requirement.

  • Familiar with Project Management methodologies, and capable to manage the projects in waterfall and/or agile approach. Plus to possess PMP,PMO or equivalent.

  • In-depth knowledge of development and manufacturing processes such as PCBA manufacturing, machining, injection molding, assembly, and automation.

  • Understanding quality 8D methodology and ability to support on root cause analysis and process improvement.

  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Familiarity with CAD software and ability to interpret engineering drawings.

  • Self-starter and take initiatives to learn and explore solutions in contributing to the organization.

  • Be able to drive on their own most of high level discussions with stakeholders when escalations needed (without having managers' involvement)

  • Ability to leverage and understand escalation path whenever needed.

Salary Range - $135,000-$160,000
