Position Overview
US Mix's aim is to support the development of an environmental and sustainability strategy and to continue to deliver sustained value-creating growth – growth that is based around the provision of sustainable solutions for our customers' needs and that is consistent with a sustainable built environment
Sustainability Initiatives
- Assist with the rollout of sustainability initiatives and the delivery of CRH´s sustainability ambitions through a coordinated effort lead by site leadership and the national sustainability team
- Oversee the 3rd party sampling and monitoring programs already in place
Key Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Manage environmental project activities including scheduling, tracking, and planning for environmental assessments, site investigations, feasibility studies, and remedial action plans
- Interprets data and observations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry guidelines and advises management accordingly
- Work with Maintenance, Engineering, and any other related department on all compliance requirements
- Prepares and submits to the relevant regulatory agencies permit applications to obtain operating permits for new installations and modifications to existing permits
- Collaborate with Regional and National leadership on all proposed codes, standards, regulations, and guidelines to determine the impact on current and future programs and activities
- Support the Site in annual regulatory reporting to state and federal agencies
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Interest in sustainability or similar field preferred, but not required
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
Work Requirements
Must be 18 years in age or older
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
Willingness to work independently and within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required
Communication
- Assist with presentations and communication materials for frontline Employees and site management
Physical Requirements

Able to communicate with others by telephone and in person
Able to utilize a computer for word processing, email communication, and preparation of documents and presentations
May require sitting for extended periods of time
Compensation
- $30 - $32/hr.
