Job Summary:

This position is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing robust pathways leading to degree completion with OSU-Oklahoma City's technology center and concurrent enrollment/early college partnerships. The coordinator works closely with various OSU-Oklahoma City divisions and departments to facilitate college credit for area technology center students and concurrent enrollment opportunities. 

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Coordinates the delivery and marketing of college credit opportunities to technology center students, technology center employees, and other interested individuals.
  2. Facilitates the college credit available to area technology centers through the annual review of transfer credit and prior learning assessment opportunities.
  3. Collaborates with the OSU-Oklahoma City Transitional Advisor to ensure the smoothest progressions for students from technology centers through OSU-OKC's AAS degree programs.
  4. Responsible for overseeing high school relationships and developing Early College partnerships that support early degree completion.
  5. Provides timely and accurate responses on concurrent enrollment admissions, assessments, registration, and billing issues for students, parents, and school district staff.
  6. Represents OSU-Oklahoma City as a partner with various career technology centers and high schools.
  7. Collects and compiles data for submission to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
  8. Understands Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education policies and procedures regarding concurrent enrollment, career technology partnerships, and Oklahoma public college and university admissions.
  9. Works with the Communications department to identify, develop, and disseminate effective marketing materials (printed and web) for career technology outreach and concurrent enrollment programs.
  10. Works closely with the various OSU-Oklahoma City departments throughout Academic Affairs, Student Services, and Finance and Operations to ensure student needs and college awareness activities are met through the career technology outreach and concurrent enrollment programs.
  11. Provides accurate OSU-Oklahoma City information clearly, concisely, and professionally to prospective students, technology center employees, high school staff, and other interested individuals via personal contact, mail, telephone, and/or e-mail.
  12. Utilizes available technology to design and implement efficiencies and improvements to the enrollment processes for career technology and concurrent enrollment.
  13. Establish practices and processes that will ensure compliance with all Perkins' funding requirements.
  14. Serves on committees as assigned.
  15. Completes all mandatory training and participates in a minimum of two professional development each year.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Qualification

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible work experience
  • One year of experience in higher education or career technical education (CTE)

  • Ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to a multicultural environment in an effort to work and communicate effectively with all students, faculty, staff and community partners.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies, including but not limited to office computers, fax machines, scanners, internet, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities to overcome barriers to success and think critically regarding possible solutions.
  • Proven project leadership abilities, including the ability to share knowledge, resolve conflict and build consensus through complex tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of CTE or workforce development experience
  • Experience with academic advisement and/or admissions
  • Master's degree in education or related field

Working Conditions:

  • Work will be performed in an office environment, with a significant amount of public contact in person, by telephone, via email, and various communication platforms.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends.
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver's License and be able to travel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Duties require extended periods of sitting, talking, and listening.
  • Duties require extensive use of computers, telephones, and other office equipment.
  • Requires possible lifting of up to 25 lbs (if an object weighs more than 45 pounds, OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two-person lift.)
