Description

This position will work closely with sales leadership to assist in the development, design, implementation and execution of operational procedures, projects, and initiatives to implement Paycom's sales strategy in order to drive key sales objectives and results. They will lead a small team of associates or coordinators that are responsible for supporting all levels of the sales organization.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the overall sales operations strategy of the business is being applied by direct reports to deliver market share, revenue, and margin goals for all sales segments
  • Provide insight and develops priorities for sales projects by understanding customer and competitive situation
  • Engage in developing value proposition and product differentiation, while optimizing business goals and constraints
  • Lead and oversee business' sales practices, which includes developing sales plans, strategies, objectives, policies and procedures to provide recommendations to sales leadership
  • Oversee the development, design, and execution of territory strategy, movement, and visualization
  • Lead and provide guidance on the communication strategy with the salesforce
  • Ensure processes impacting sales and sales functions of the organization are well documented and evaluated for future automation opportunities
  • Identify areas for process improvement within processes or systems and relay recommendations to the appropriate parties
  • Lead the strategic roll-out of process changes and provides the sales force, and other impacted areas, materials and trainings to ensure a smooth transition
  • Monitor the work of direct reports in the management and execution of lead development, lost client process, reference requests, and other sales operations strategies
  • Ensure data is accurately captured and maintained in support of daily, weekly, monthly, and other time bound reporting
  • Research and resolve escalated and complex issues in a prompt and professional manner, providing guidance to team members in such instances
  • Delegate tasks as necessary to ensure goal achievement and a manageable work load
  • Conduct interviews and provide recommendations for next-level interviews and hire
  • Attend company and department leadership trainings, development opportunities and initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor to determine project assignments and workflow for the team, recommending project reassignments based on employee performance as needed
  • Communicate company and department goals through casting vision and setting clear expectations


Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of relevant experience

Experience:

  • 3+ years' experience in a sales operations or operational unit of an organization
  • 2+ years' experience of project-related work or project management experience
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams or small teams of individual contributors

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Experience within multiple modules of the Paycom software or other HRIS/HCM software
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects or small teams
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Experience with ticketing software (i.e. Jira) and process design technology (Vizio)

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to influence others
  • Strong MS Office skills, specifically Excel & PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make sound judgement decisions
  • Ability to coach and develop others
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
