Position Summary:

Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to becomepart of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who aresafety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in awarehouse environment.

This is a 1st shift position.Hours will be 5am - 1:30pm or 5am - 3:30pm depending on a 4 day or 5 day workschedule.

-You will clean out trailers uponreturning from their routes.

-You will account for and processall returned product to include trays, straps and pallets

-You will collect, organize,weigh and palletize donations for Food Share Program.

Major Responsibilities:

Job requirements may include thefollowing where applicable:

-Accurately match numbers &letters

-Accurately stage and sortproducts for loading

-Loads and unloads trailers

-Opens and closes dock doors

-Maintain a clean and safe workarea

-Sorts and places parts in racksor other designated areas

-Pulling of manual dock chain

-Stacks cardboard boxes andpallets

-Move materials within thewarehouse

-Complies with all safetyrequirements

-Package or kit finished productfor shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)

-Electronically scan productsusing a warehouse management system

-Quality control

-Ensure damaged products areidentified and removed when received

-Complete daily logs

-Communicate with associates fromother shifts

-Attach identifying tags tocontainers, or mark them with identifying information

-Read work orders or receive oralinstructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs

-Record numbers of units handledand moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets

-Assemble product containers andcrates, using hand tools and precut lumber

-Pack containers and re-packdamaged containers

-Reads production schedule,customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine itemsto be moved, gathered, or distributed

-Sorts and stores perishablegoods in refrigerated rooms

-Fills requisitions, work orders,or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items toproduction workers or assembly line

-Assembles customer orders fromstock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packingstation or shipping department

-Weighs or counts items fordistribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards

-Uses computer to enter records

-Prepares parcels for mailing

-Maintains inventory records

-Operate forklifts, pallet jacksand a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)

-Operate forklifts or palletjacks to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up itemsfrom several locations for shipment (where applicable)

-Otherprojects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

-At least 1 year of warehousing or material-handling (usinghand/power tools and hand truck) equipment experience required

-High school diploma orequivalent preferred

-Proficient reading skills andability to follow directions required

-Ability to work independently,customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizationalskills, flexibile, excellent with numbers and time management skills required

-Basic computer skills includingMicrosoft Word, Excel, Outlook required (where applicable by location)

-Flexible to work overtimepreferred

-Ability to work in non-climatecontrolled conditions required

-Regular, predictable, fullattendance is an essential function of the job

-Willingness to work the requiredschedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employmentapplication, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment,education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

communicate. Specific visionabilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

-Whileperforming the duties of this job, the associate will be required to movefrequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to usehands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. Theassociate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg andoccasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
