Job Description: The Monitor Tech will be responsible for monitoring the assigned central telemetry of the adolescent and adult age patient. You will document sample strips indicating usual rhythm as well as arrhythmias. The incumbent will report changes in telemetry screens for immediate follow-up action and report equipment problems for corrective action.
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Successful completion of didactic and clinical base EKG examinations
- Current Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association required within 90 days or American Red Cross.
- Proof of Basic Arrhythmia competency required.
- A score of 85% or better on the arrhythmia test preferred.
