The Plymouth County Attorney's Office is accepting applications for a full-time assistant county attorney.  Applicants for Assistant County Attorney must be licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa and their license to practice has remained in good standing at all times.  Starting salary is $80,000 - $110,000 commensurate with experience.  A salary step program in addition to annual cost of living is available through the first five years of employment.  Benefits include healthcare insurance, paid vacation, and IPERS retirement plan, as well as other optional benefits.  The assistant county attorney will function under general supervision of the county attorney, perform the duties as assigned or required as set forth by law and rule.  The assistant county attorney will work closely with law enforcement, victims, the public, judges, court staff, and other attorneys.    Primary duties will include the prosecution of misdemeanor, juvenile, mental health and substance abuse dockets, as well as assist with certain felony cases.  Please forward a cover letter and resume to attorney@co.plymouth.ia.us or by ordinary mail to the Plymouth County Attorney's Office, 215 4th Ave SE, Le Mars, Iowa, 51031.
