Job Summary

The Director of Enterprise Contracts will oversee contract lifecycle management processes and CLM solution to ensure standards and organizational policies are followed in accordance with defined internal procedures and processes within the organization. As well as oversee responsibility for annual legal budgets.

Accountabilities

  • Oversight, administration and management of the organization's contracting processes and CLM solution.
  • Coordination of CLM process across organization and contracting departments, including, but not limited to: Supply Chain, Legal, IT/IS, Physician Contracting, Compliance, Real Estate.
  • Participation on cross-functional teams of business users, legal, finance, IT, risk and data governance, internal audit, and integration teams.
  • Understanding business needs and system capabilities; successfully translating into business requirements.
  • Ensure organizational policies, processes and defined procedures are followed and CLM solution is utilized in accordance with defined standards and contracting review/approval process.
  • Manage and oversee the contracting lifecycle process within the organization / system, identifying workflow bottlenecks and opportunities for process optimization.
  • Complete system reviews to ensure necessary documentation and data points are captured in accordance with organizational policy (ie: BAA, COI, FMV evaluations, etc.)
  • Develop and provide reports to monitor actions on contract key critical dates, expirations, and auto renewals.
  • Ensure accurate data is captured in CLM in compliance with processes and policies.
  • Create, review, present dashboard reports and data for departmental and executive leadership review.
  • Monitor CLM to ensure organizational and regulatory compliance standards are met.
  • Answer questions on process, policies and system functionality.
  • Provide periodic education on contracting process, system and organizational policies in association to contract review and management.
  • When appropriate, facilitate review of contracts / draft agreements on contract templates.
  • Partner with the organization to identify cost savings opportunities, i.e., RFPs, mandatory reviews, etc.
  • Facilitate and educate on organizational contracting policies and process to ensure users an understanding of the organizational processes. Provide ongoing support for user inquiries to align with CLM processes.
  • Provide system administration support including user and CLM solution management.
  • Reinforce Prisma's contracting policies and procedures as it applies to contract administration.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of data and completeness of contract information being entered and uploaded into CLM and communicating with users if there is a deficiency.
  • Serving as primary point of contact for CLM solution, articulate system requests, initiatives and technical questions, working in partnership towards a resolution by providing accurate and detailed information.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health or affiliate and will have direct reports.

Minimum Requirements

  • Prior experience administering and managing various transactions across a variety of service lines
  • Prior experience managing a contract life management cycle solution, i.e., Symplr, Ntracts, Thompson Reuters, etc.- Preferred
  • Paralegal and/or Contract Management - Contract Administration Experience - Preferred

Knowledge, Skills or Abilities

  • Ability to interpret complex internal / external business issues and take broad perspective in identifying and executing solutions
  • Provide project leadership for team members (finance, contract administration, etc.) and occasionally direct other team members on specific tasks and objectives to complete and prioritize
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction regarding projects, internal client needs, and input from senior leadership
  • Ability to independently plan and execute project timelines
  • Engage colleagues through one-on-one conversations to articulate business strategy and resolve specific issues/concerns with contracting strategy or outcomes
