Job Summary

Provides driver services to the Prisma Health Mobile Clinic to include setup, minor maintenance and the coordination of maintenance and repair activities. This role also performs a variety of breast imaging procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and competency.

Accountabilities

• Drives a specially equipped mobile clinical unit to varied destinations. Ensures that wheelchair lifts and tie down equipment are properly operated. - 20%

• Provides setup at desired locations. Provides simple maintenance. Coordinates maintenance and repairs. Inspects and maintains the mobile clinical unit to remain clean, orderly and in safe working condition. - 10%

• Completes vehicle documentation as required. Communicates with the community, staff and other agencies and departments. Provides clinical support as directed by the medical director for HealthWorks or Mammography. - 10%

• Obtains optimum quality breast images for radiologist interpretation. - 10%

• Documents pertinent patient medical history and clinical findings and labels breast images appropriately in accordance with the American College of Radiology guidelines, which contributes to the diagnosis. - 10%

• Stays abreast of organizational, affiliate and departmental changes/updates by checking email on each shift. - 10%

• Adheres to policies and procedures pertaining to patient confidentiality and security of all information and records. - 10%

• Provides radiation protection in accordance with proper standards as set by State and Federal boards, uses proper shielding, collimation, and technical factors that minimize radiation exposure without affecting quality of radiographs. - 10%

• Remains up to date of changes and new procedures by attending educational seminars or classes, and reading job related material. - 10%

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements

• Job related course work beyond high school - Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology

• 1 year experience in transporting CDL required vehicles

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

• Certified in mammography

• Current SCQRSA license

• BLS certification

• Valid SC Driver's License

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Must be computer literate.  Ability to move, assemble, clean and use complex equipment and supplies to provide information and quality care through diagnostic analysis in a timely manner.

• Ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to operate handicap accessible vehicle.

• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and operate handicap accessible vehicles. Driving is required for this position using a Prisma Health vehicle. Team members will be expected to adhere to the Prisma Health Driver Safety Policy and specific department driving policies. Team members must pass driver training.

• Prior experience in mammography preferred.
