POSITION SUMMARY

This position provides direction for the sanitation crew within a certain area of the plant. This position is trained in multiple jobs, can assist with training team members and provides support as requested by the supervisor in that area. Due to the nature of this work, you must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

1. Work cooperatively with PSSI management, team members, customers and regulatory agencies to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
2. Maintain open communications with all team members in the plant. Meet with the Supervisor on a regular basis to ensure all issues are being properly handled and addressed including missing or damaged parts and equipment.
3. Clean and sanitize equipment and workspace in a designated area of the plant.
4. Ensure team members in assigned area are completing job tasks to QA and USDA standards. Inspect equipment to ensure all areas are clean for pre-op inspections.
5. Handle chemicals to ensure usage is within specified limits.
6. Monitor and provide PPE.
7. Other duties as assigned.

JOB PERFORMANCE MEASURES

This position requires compliance with company policies and procedures. Specific goals and expectations will be established on an annual basis and continually measured in the following categories:

1. Reduction in worker's compensation incidents
2. Reduction or elimination of downtime and damage
3. Accurate and timely counts of supply and chemical inventory
4. Reduction in team member turnover
5. Successful third party audit participation

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The position requires leadership skills, decision making, safety awareness and conflict resolution. The position requires attributes of integrity, honesty, initiative and customer focus.

QUALIFICATIONS-EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

6 months to a year in sanitation/food processing industry

Due to the nature of this work, you must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Wet, hot, cold, usually second or third shift

FUNCIONES ESENCIALES/ LABORES DEL TRABAJO

Para realizar este trabajo de manera exitosa, un individuo debe ser capaz de realizar cada función esencial de manera satisfactoria.

1. Trabajar de forma cooperativa con la gerencia de PSSI, los miembros del equipo, los clientes y las agencias reguladoras para asegurarse que los procedimientos de saneamiento se están siguiendo.
2. Mantener comunicaciones abiertas con todos los miembros del equipo en la planta. Reunirse con el supervisor de manera regular para asegurarse que todos los inconvenientes están siendo tratados y presentados de manera adecuada, incluyendo partes y equipo perdido o dañado.
3. Limpiar y desinfectar equipo y espacios de trabajo en un área designada de la planta.
4. Asegurarse que los miembros del equipo en áreas designadas están completando sus labores de trabajo y los estándares de la USDA. Inspeccionar el equipo para asegurarse que todas las áreas están limpias para las inspecciones de la pre-apertura.

4. Reducción en la pérdida de los miembros del equipo.

COMPETENCIAS Y HABILIDADES

Esta posición requiere de habilidades de liderazgo, toma de decisiones, conocimiento de seguridad y resolución de conflictos. La posición requiere atributos de integridad, honestidad, iniciativa y enfoque en el cliente.

CUALIFICACIONES- EDUCACIÓN Y EXPERIENCIA

6 meses a un año en saneamiento/ en la industria de procesamiento de comida.
