The position of Industrial Automation Controls Specialist will be located at be based out of our Tampa, FL Location!

 

Summary

The Industrial Automation Specialist position will be responsible for growing sales of Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley PLCs, HMI, and software products to all customers, with the objective to increase profitable sales through creating, building, and maintaining high-quality customer and vendor relationships. Work with the latest technologies and software from Rockwell Automation and our other technical partners to provide full solutions.

 

 

Please Note: Please have Industrial Automation experience or equivalent to be considered for this position.


What You'll Do

  • Demonstrates commercial and technical acumen related to assigned technology segment(s). Subject Matter Expert of assigned technology segment(s).
  • Leads and supports sales efforts with key targets, key customers and key opportunities in area/region 
  • Identifies customer needs, proposes solutions and closes orders 
  • Presents proposals to all levels of leadership and technical audiences 
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with key suppliers 
  • Participates in product meetings, seminars and training schools to enhance and maintain personal and product knowledge 
  • Assist branches and customer with product, technical support and training 
  • May analyze market potential, develop an annual business plan based on market conditions and lead execution with local technical, sales and management team 
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum 5 year - must have Industrial Automation Control programming experience with Rockwel
  • Automation - PLC, Motion, Process, I/O, HMI, safety, industrial computers, design software.
  • Electrical distribution industry or related experience required
  • Firm understanding of cloud-based solutions and Plant Floor integration.
  • IT/OT network configuration – Cyber Security standards
  • Team leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead and develop competency plans to support inside sales/outside sales to maximize market share gain

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Rockwell Studio 5000 programming experience is a must.
  • HMI, Industrial Computer and Visualization programming experience
  • Motion Control programming experience. Understanding of Motion Analyzer, a plus.
  • Knowledge of CMMS and CMS solutions. What an ERP system is, and how to connect to one.
  • Accountability for the revenue performance of the Automation Business and be able to spot market trends.
  • Collaborates with RA sales, domain experts, distributor sales in order to sell core products.
  • Provides technical, application, and industry training to distributor account managers for core products.
  • Works directly with customers on pre-sale and post-sale engagements.
