The position of Sales Director will be based out of Livermore, CA!

Summary
This position will manage all Commercial Inside Sales Representatives in Northern California.

For the state of California only, the pay range is $110,000 to $144,393.98, depending upon qualifications, experience and other considerations permitted by law.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Define and expand the product and service offering within the vertical market segment.
  • Drive growth and profitability at new and existing customers.
  • Manage a team of Global Account Managers focused on growing sales for existing customers within the segment.
  • Develop marketing collateral & presentations by segment.
  • Build a community of employees to penetrate the vertical.This community should include the Global Account Managers, Branch Managers, Outside Sales, Product Specialists and Support Specialists.
  • Drive adoption and support branch growth within the vertical.
  • Drive international growth for existing customers.
  • Target customer potential through the analysis of electrical usage & purchases, growth outlook, financial stability, and the emphasis on solutions and partnerships.
  • Provide training, support for sales people within the vertical.
  • Drive vendor alignment and develop partnerships within vertical segment.
  • Work closely with other segment leaders to align growth plans between verticals.
  • Target area reviews and branch planning with Division VP.

 

Skills, Knowledge, and Education Required

  • 3-5 years prior business management experience, preferably as a Branch Manager or equivalent P&L experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant industry or vertical segment experience.
  • Proven track record of successful, progressive sales growth.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

 

Skills, Knowledge, and Education Preferred

  • Degree preferred.

Language Skills:
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff to make an accurate assessment of customer and branch needs.

 

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to verify and calculate figures such as cost, commissions, credit, rebate and profit, understand and interpret financial data and reports and balance sheets.

 

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Ability to use sound judgment and problem solving skills to analyze customer, branch and employee problems and to recommend the proper course of action. Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.
