Summary

As a Warehouse Systems Platform Engineer Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Warehouse IT team across various facets of warehouse system solutions. This internship provides hands-on experience in the implementation and maintenance of warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse control systems (WCS), and related technologies. Collaborating closely with experienced team members, you will gain valuable insight into the pivotal role of technology in optimizing warehouse operations. 

In this role, you will
  • Maintenance Coordination: Assist senior team members in coordinating maintenance tasks, updates, and changes to warehouse systems, ensuring smooth operations. 
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data and contribute to the development of solutions to address evolving business requirements, optimizing warehouse processes. 
  • User Support: Provide support to operational teams by assisting in system training sessions and troubleshooting issues, ensuring uninterrupted workflow. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand warehouse processes and gather requirements for system enhancements, fostering alignment between technology and operations. 
  • Reporting and Monitoring: Support the development of reports, dashboards, and alerts to monitor the health and performance of warehouse systems, enabling proactive decision-making. 
  • System Integration Testing: Assist in testing system integrations with external applications and boundary systems, ensuring seamless interoperability. 
  • Vendor Collaboration: Participate in vendor meetings and aid in the implementation of third-party warehouse systems, facilitating smooth deployment and integration. 
  • Documentation and Shadowing: Contribute to the documentation of system configurations, implementation plans, and user training materials. Shadow senior team members in moderate-sized projects to gain exposure to project management and delivery processes. 
What you bring to RNDC
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, or a related field. 
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain management concepts. 
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data analysis. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly. 
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems. 
  • Collaborative mindset with attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. 
  • Familiarity with SQL, REST APIs, or business intelligence tools is advantageous. 
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site support or implementations, up to 50% of the time.
