Description

Organization Overview

RockEDU Science Outreach represents the collective science engagement and research education efforts at The Rockefeller University. The RockEDU team partners with scientists, students, educators, and engagement professionals to produce programs and resources that promote sustained science engagement. Many of our initiatives focus on affording high school and undergraduate students with authentic research experiences, which include a combination of scientific skills-training and multifaceted professional development. Jumpstart, Summer Science Research Program (SSRP), and our new course-based undergraduate research program (CURE) represent our external engagement efforts. These efforts are mirrored by our internal outreach initiatives (RockEDU Fellows and RockEDU BIOME) which focus on supporting the scientists who train and mentor at RocKEDU and in their own lab spaces.
