SAIC is the premier Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) integrator with expertise in transforming legacy command and control systems into a modern hybrid cloud environment to accelerate decision making and increase mission success. This new program is part of a broader effort to provide a tactical operational picture aligned with the JADC2 and Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) to adapt to new and emerging threats. This next generation approach shall employ the latest advancements across the technology spectrum and distributed architectures to deliver a cutting-edge approach.

SAIC is seeking a Logistician in support of our United States Air Force customer.  The ideal candidate will require experience in management of materials, shipping, and receiving of COTS/GOTS. Candidate will work closely with development teams, and other stakeholders to implement integration of COTs and GOTs products.

Position requires strong ability to work multiple priorities concurrently to guide the programs logistics activities including:

  • Manage receipt of materials including COTS items being integrated, Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE), Government Furnished Equipment, and other
  • Manage shipments of products to customers including hardware, software, training material and other supporting material
  • Arrange for transportation of product via commercial or private carrier as may be needed for shipping
  • Manage a warehouse/inventory of materials required by the project to support execution
  • Able to manage classified storage IAW government regulations 
  • Generating needed logistics accountability reports
  • Works with project team and customer to facilitate tracking of deliverable hardware, software and training materials including proper signatures etc.
  • Work with quality personnel for incoming material inspection processes assisting achievement of project priorities
  • Maintain warehouse/inventory inspections and periodic inventory as required

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: : Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience

  • Experience with managing logistics for a large government program 
  • Strong ability to define a process or procedure and write policies
  • Able to make decisions and act in the absence of senior leadership
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to interface effectively with customers and stakeholders 

Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
