SAIC is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Principal to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Quality Activities for the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering & Integration Directorate (S3I) Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Training Devices and System Software Lab (TSSL) Quality Program Plan (QPP).

This position is onsite in Huntsville, AL. Active Secret clearance required. 

Duties and Responsibilities Include: 

  • Perform Quality Lead oversight by helping to refine different program's software quality development plans by ensuring that they meet corporate and program contract requirements.
  • Implements and executes procedures for and conducts audit, inspection, documentation, reporting, and resolution of quality assurance issues at all stages of the life cycle across the enterprise system, including new and existing hardware and software products.
  • As a Quality Team Manager, plays a key role in interpreting and incorporating customer goals, feedback, and requirements to the quality program.
  • Implements prescribed methods for collecting, maintaining, and compiling data needed for incorporation into quality program reporting and updating.
  • Supports development, review, and updating of the program's Baseline Quality Program Plan (QPP) that describes application of the appropriate methodology and metrics for accomplishing and measuring Government-approved performance expectations and objectives.
  • Implements and executes processes and procedures that conform to the QPP, as well as to contract requirements.
  • Managing the team to ensure Quality Team Participates in document and code peer-reviews
  • Verify peer review findings were corrected in accordance with standards.
  • Ability to Review and properly perform verification for system level requirements located within DOORS and ensuring that all requirements are verifiable and quantifiable.
  • Responsible for the generation, quality revisions, and editing of the Requirements Verification Cross Reference Matrix.
  • Witness/Verify the execution of system integration testing and final acceptance testing.
  • Identify noncompliance issues and monitor the corrective action plan to completion.
  • Provide schedule status on quality activities.
  • Coordinates & conducts scheduled and unscheduled audits.
  • Performs trend analysis of noncompliance issues.
  • Confirms all appropriate quality reviews were conducted prior to the release of deliverables.
  • Collects and analyzes the quality measures for the project and make recommendations to the Government Division Chief on process and quality improvements.
  • Prepares reports & quality work products.
  • Ability to review technical data packages for adherence to the project scope, established standards and methodologies, and program requirements.
  • Managing and recommends process improvements as related to quality on process standards throughout the software life cycle.
  • Work within defined test environments and support/verify all levels of product testing.
  • Ability to collaborate with developers to explain deficiencies in the software, process, provide potential solutions, and support as needed.
  • Responsible for monitoring all processes for compliance with quality standards.
  • Familiarity with the Rationale Unified Process (RUP), S3I EPIC Process and templates, and modified Agile to include daily quality team stands.
  • Capable of reviewing test procedures based on system level requirements, ensuring that each requirement is traced to specific procedures and steps within procedures for verification.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field, and minimum ten (10) years of professional experience. 
  • Minimum four (4) years experience in Quality Assurance 
  • Monitor and Maintain the program's Capability and Maturity Matrix Integration (CMMI) Level 3.
  • Experience with audits and peer reviews
  • Software/hardware background
  • ISO 9000 experience
  • Certified or experience in Capability and Maturity Matrix (CMMI) assessment via the Process Maturity Index (PMI) database for Level 3. 
  • Perform SQA oversight by helping to refine different program software Quality development plans by ensuring that they meet corporate and program contract requirements.
  • DOORS Experience
  • JIRA Experience
