Primary Responsibilities:

  • Companionship and conversation
  • Light housekeeping
  • Household management
  • Walking assistance
  • Eating assistance
  • Errands
  • Transportation using client's vehicle or your vehicle
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Laundry and linen changing
  • Bathing assistance
  • Dressing assistance
  • Toileting assistance
  • Medication reminders
  • Monitor Alzheimer's and dementia clients

In sleep over or live-in situation:

  • Assist client to and from bed
  • Assist client throughout the night

Other Requirements:

  • Pass recurring 30-day skills assessment and client review with Registered Nurse
  • Document daily activities via mobile app
  • Record daily hours worked and daily services performed via mobile app
  • Report any significant client changes to the main office immediately
  • Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Senior Helpers employee handbook and training manual.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate license or ability to provide Personal Care services
  • Ability to use a smartphone and mobile apps
  • Ability to pass the skills assessment prior to employment
  • Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
  • Complete any health screenings as required
  • Pass a criminal background and driving record check
