Description

This position is located in a fast paced, highly analytical and dynamic environment and operates under the direction of the Manager – Payroll Operations.  This position is responsible for ensuring accurate time-keeping and attendance records, maintaining configuration in the time and attendance system, troubleshooting issues in the time and attendance system, and overseeing payroll coordinators.  Must be able to lead and direct payroll coordinators and specialists, providing guidance for efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.  Position is located in a fast paced environment responsible for weekly and monthly payroll processing for over 23,000 employees located in all 50 states.

 Essential Duties:

  • Oversee daily audit of timecard and attendance records for potential errors/exceptions

  • Responsible for efficient and accurate operation of time-keeping system, including maintaining set-up tables

  • Analyze and validate additional pay and off-cycle requests

  • Provide level 3 support for payroll-related requests/cases

  • Oversee accuracy of record-keeping in time-keeping system

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations concerning time-keeping records

  • Liaison for time-keeping system integrations and system issues/improvements

  • Provide support for escalated policy issues and report requests

  • Make recommendations for configuration/process changes to improve efficiency and accuracy of payroll processing

  • Ensure excellent customer service to internal and external customers

  • Respond to all inquiries timely and accurately

  • Research and respond to wage information requests from internal and external sources

  • Review and analyze payroll and time-keeping data for accuracy

  • Maintain up-to-date policies/procedures for training on job duties

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3 years of experience in payroll, HR, or accounting

  • Leadership skills

  • Analytical and interpretive skills

  • Excellent customer service

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and Google

  • Accountable and confidential

 

Preferred:

  • FPC or CPP

  • Workday and/or Workforce software experience

 

Special Requirements:

  • Willing to work all Mondays including holidays.  Willing to work weekends and evenings as needed. Incumbent must be able to work under time constraints to ensure deadlines are met.  Must be able to prioritize, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
