Description

To prospective teammates,

I am an Associate Regional Medical Director with Sound Critical Care. I'm proud of the intensivist teams that we have built over the last 23 years and feel strongly that our ambassador (travel) team has played a large role in our ability to expand over the years. I welcome interest from experienced intensivist physicians looking to join our growing team of ambassadors. I'd like to share more about it, specifically about our?people, practice, and purpose, as you consider your next steps:

People

  • We're an established and quickly growing team of experienced critical care physicians, focused on the care of ICU patients.
  • Our team members live throughout the country and travel to our hospital partner sites nationwide.
  • Our intensivists are board-certified or board-eligible standing in critical care medicine and are passionate about teamwork, integrity, and delivering high-quality patient care.

Practice

  • Intensivist ambassadors require adaptability to work in various ICU settings, assisting with providing stability for continuity of patient care.
  • Ambassadors participate in any team meetings and initiatives to drive high-quality care and bring better care to the bedside.
  • Our ambassador clinicians' airfare and lodging are paid for by Sound in addition to their compensation.
  • Ambassadors work a modified block schedule to maximize travel and minimize transitions.
  • Sounds' licensing team will help manage the procurement of any state licenses needed to work at one of our hospital partner locations. We'll cover the cost of these licenses.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability, 401k, paid medical malpractice and tail coverage, and annual CME allowance.
  • Compensation range is $429k-$468k per year. This is shift-based and determined by region (based on an average of 13 shifts per month). The shift rate is elevated to account for the travel status position.

Purpose

  • We put patients first. Always.
  • Focusing on growth and development is a key feature of Sound practices, where teammates can expand their careers locally and within the broader medical group.
  • We're a community-minded team and encourage our team members who want to contribute in and out of the hospital to help make our local community thrive.
