Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other STEM field.
  • U.S. Citizen with DoD clearance or ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
  • 5+ years of experience developing system requirements or architectures.
  • 2+ years of experience implementing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for system design definitions.
  • Experience using the SysML modeling language.
  • Knowledge/course work of physics, aerodynamics, control theory, or applied mathematics.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience using Cameo Systems Modeler, Rational Rhapsody, SPARKS EA, or DOORS.
  • Master's Degree in a related field.   
  • Experience with weapon system acquisition programs.  
  • Preference for experience working with Jira and Confluence.


Responsibilities

Support the Navy SSP customer in a fast paced environment with executing the Systems Engineering and Design process and to capture the system descriptions and interfaces within the System Descriptive Model using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).  The successful candidate will work with multiple government and contractor organizations to gather data and information and document the system design information within the SysML based descriptive model using Cameo Systems Modeler.  The SLCM-N systems engineering team at SPA will develop requirements specifications, system architecture, and behavioral modeling data, identify critical design decision points, coordinate with multiple subsystem working groups to capture designs and interfaces, and support subsystem modelers in the development of their models.  Support system of systems integration activities for the SLCM-N development program.
