Location: Peer Recovery Program inMarlborough, MA

Schedule: Full time. Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5pm. Possible evenings and weekends as needed

Pay rate: $21.00 - $23.00/annually

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or another related field preferred
  • Supervisory experience and/or similar experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in the substance abuse treatment field or similar behavioral health field is required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
  • Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies. 

The Assistant Director is responsible for:

  • Holding volunteers and staff members accountable for maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and dignified environment.
  • Maintaining the on-site training log and ensuring all required training is conducted and documented as required.
  • Assisting the Program Director in supervising all staff members.
  • Performing community education, promoting the center to outside agencies/people and encouraging use of the Peer Recovery Support Center
  • Networking with community organizations and establishing linkages to benefit members who may be in need of their services
  • Overseeing the Community Needs Assessment.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of services and programs within Spectrum's continuum of care and knowing where to access additional information on Spectrum services and programs.
  • Refers clients to services using Spectrum's continuum of care and demonstrates efforts to maximize the internal referrals within Spectrum's continuum when appropriate.
  • Assisting with crisis management and other emergencies as needed.
  • Maintaining adequate knowledge of emergency procedures and training others as needed.
  • Completing incident reports appropriately and submitting them to the Director within 24 hours of the incident
