Associate Director, Outsourcing

Locations: Union, NJ | Boston, MA | Hybrid

Associate Directors in Outsourcing are the primary account manager for multiple clients, responsible for implementing best practice in the operations and management of clients, managing staff members in delivering accurate investment accounting, managing client projects, and assisting in the onboarding of new clients. They are a subject matter expert to support the preparation and review of financial statements and supporting footnotes for publicly traded companies.

What You Will Get To Do:

  • Support Primary Loan Servicing function as an outsourcing service for existing and new Commercial RE/Construction/Bridge loan clients
  • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly functions are processed promptly, reviewed for accuracy for all loan life cycle events such as but not limited to: loan onboarding, payment processing, loan advance, escrow setup and disbursement, construction budget tracking, payoff preparation and processing, monthly statement generation, etc.
  • Verify general ledge entries, loan cash transaction, interest accrual and income are reconciled, and make sure scheduled servicing reports and month end trial balances are delivered timely and accurately to clients. 
  • Hire, manage and lead staff, lead the improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the Primary Loan outsourcing service.
  • Manage the relationship with one or multiple clients, including maintaining KPIs, operational calls, and project management of client specific initiatives.
  • Develop and implement consistent policies and procedures for clients, including business analysis, new requirements, workflow, and operational review. 
  • Identify inefficiencies in the current production process and implement operational efficiencies.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new clients and act as an escalation point for all clients
  • Follow Commercial loan servicing industry best practice and loan accounting trends and understand impact on clients and or internal financial statement reporting.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field
  • 10+ years' experience of Primary Loan Servicing in the Commercial loan administration services industry; strongly prefer experience with a short term credit fund, bank or private RE fund
  • 5+ year's experience of supervisory role in daily loan operation and client relation
  • Ability and solid understanding of best practice on functions of loan administration and loan accounting under US GAAP
  • Experience using loan administration and accounting software
  • Experience preparing and reviewing Loan trial balance, age/delinquency report, escrow analysis, loan funding memo, payoff statement, loan statement, cash reconciliation, month end reporting such as PnL and Holdings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to remain highly organized in a deadline-driven environment
  • Effective leader with the ability to promote collaboration within a team
