In this role as Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be working on a fast-paced Agile team who are focused on building functionality to support our Managed Services team and to expand our service offerings for hosted clients. This involves close collaboration in a cross-functional team of Software Developers, QA engineers and Product Managers. The product team has experienced significant growth over the past year and is focused on redefining its quality processes and defining and executing its automation strategy.

What You Will Get To Do:
Own the entire testing process for your team, including representing quality in cross-team discussions, requirements analysis, test planning, test case definition and execution, and test case automation.
Cultivate deep understanding of business needs and technical roadmap and set clear quality standards in collaboration with other Quality and Engineering Managers.
Recommend improvements to quality process, testing methodology, and automation strategy within your team and across the product.
Help define and implement performance/scale test strategy and capabilities.
Monitor and improve CI/CD pipelines.
Maintain and extend existing test automation framework, as well as evaluation and build out of any new frameworks in support of our automation needs and strategy.
Provide technical guidance to QA team members and enhance technical capabilities.
Be an advocate and champion of a quality mindset across your team and the product. – ‘build quality in', ‘automation-first' and ‘shift left test'.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Science, or other relevant majors or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of experience in delivering high quality products and facilitating automation tests in enterprise software environment.
Working knowledge of software development languages: JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, Shell Scripting
Experience with API and UI testing platforms, Pytest, Selenium, Cypress, PlayWright and other different tools.
Experience with Dockers and Cloud platforms
Knowledge of the complete QA cycle and experience with different types of testing, including experience building and adding onto an automation framework
Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum, or Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Gherkin languages and use of Cucumber tools.
Experience with Continuous Integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, test methodologies and tools and, passion for quality
Eagerness for solving complex problems and can-do attitude
Strong communications skills
Demonstrating a desire to learn and continually improve
Experience in developing or influencing the development of automated framework(s) for enterprise level functional and regression testing is preferable.
Any experience with Locust or other performance tools such as JMeter would be bonus
