Trade Order Specialist

Trade Order Specialists go through a training program for up to 8 weeks with a variety of checkpoints built in. Passing exams and final certification as well as proving your ability to perform the job throughout this process, is required to stay employed at SS&C Advent. Will you accept this challenge?

What You Will Get To Do: 

  • Provide in-depth technical support for the Genesis Portfolio Management platform by resolving escalated technical and product functionality inquiries by phone, e-mail, and web, in a manner and timeframe consistent with department and team service levels and goals.    

  • Work collaboratively with clients, team members, implementation consultants, and resources across our global office locations to achieve desired results.      

  • Continue internal education, training, and certifications to stay ahead of an evolving technical and financial industry landscape, learn new product releases, and increase value to the company and the client base.   

  • Complete required certifications, lesson plans, and case studies.   

  • Create KB Documentation and publish clear resolutions.   

  • Use tools to replicate, validate and escalate client issues within both staging and production environments 

  • Partner with product managers, developers and relationship managers to understand business workflow of clients and problems 

    Work on projects which provide value to the department, the company, and the client case.  Be part of the training program for new employees.     

What You Will Bring:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team environment. 

  • Superior troubleshooting and analysis/resolution skills. 

  • Proven aptitude to learn complex technical and theoretical information quickly. 

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex issues and adapt to different challenges and changing priorities. 

  • An aptitude for understanding complex business problems, and applying creative solutions to their clients' workflows. 

  • Occasional weekend on-call availability needed to satisfy Advent's 24x7 Global support model. 

Requirements: 

  • A degree: Accounting, finance, economics, business management, or similar focus. 

  • Experience in equity or fixed-income trading (3+ years).   

  • Experience with Order Management Systems (3+ years), familiarity with the lifecycle of a trade 

  • (Preferred) Working knowledge of (Jenkins, boomi, Postgres DB, Postman, JIRA) 

  • (Optional) Experience with Advent Portfolio Exchange, Advent Moxy and/or Advent Genesis.    

  • (Optional) Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and complex investment types.
