Summary

The National Deposit Sales Officer is responsible for driving the sales and growth of deposit products across the national market. They will develop and implement strategies to attract new customers and increase deposit balances. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, such as financial institutions, businesses, and individual customers. The National Deposit Sales Officer also stays updated on market trends and competitors to identify product enhancements and expansion opportunities. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute marketing campaigns, provide training to sales teams, and analyze sales data to measure performance and identify areas for improvement. Overall, this role plays a crucial role in driving the success of deposit products and achieving sales targets at a national level.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Achieve annual deposit goals by calling on and cultivating relationships with Financial Institutions, Corporations, Universities / Endowments, Attorneys, Property Managers, death services, and other avenues.
  • Develop a business plan to source and generate new business revenue for each area of the firm.
  • Attend industry events as an expert in the field.
  • Attend sales meetings and trainings to keep abreast of cash management products and industry developments.
  • Participate in and contribute to Company product sales and marketing planning meetings.
  • Work closely with internal teams to collaboratively manage client relationships.
  • Maintain current and prospective client database to track and report sales efforts.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain constructive and cooperative interpersonal relationships with clients and maintain them over time.
  • Contact prospective customers to determine customer needs, present information, and explain available services.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge about the market and the Firm's products and services.
  • Ability to network with Financial Services firms.
  • Solid understanding of all sales & marketing principles, strategies, and tactics.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Strong territory and time management skills.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 5+ years of financial product sales experience and institutional cash management experience required. 

Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Suite including Word and Excel. Previous

Salary:  $215,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year 

Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidate's qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position. The base salary is one component of Stifel's overall compensation package for each individual employee.
