Description

PRO-Telligent, A Tetra Tech Company, needs a Project Controls Engineer in Europe for construction of New US Embassy Compound with State Dept. Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) in Podgorica, Montenegro. This is a live position, not a proposal. We currently have 4 people on the ground, you would join as the 5th. Requires a US Govt. Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance.

The Project

  • New US Embassy Compound (NEC)
    • New Chancery
    • Demolition of the existing chancery and temporary annex buildings
    • Marine Security Guard Residence (MSGR)
    • Shop Facilities and Utility Building (UTL)
    • Waste Treatment Facility
    • Recreation Facilities
    • Security Upgrades
  • The position is expected to last 30-36 months and candidates need to stay a minimum of 12 months.
  • Housing and transportation allowances provided.
  • Uplift includes 10% of base salary. 
  • Benefits (medical, dental, vision, 30 days paid time off a year, paid round trip flights home)

 

Position Description

You will:

  • Manage operations of NEC project office as related to project's cost and schedule.
  • Perform full gamut of project controls report drafting and production (MS Office Suite), cost management, schedule management (Primavera), change order management, and submittal management.
  • Prepare reports and Independent Government Estimates (IGEs) and maintain a daily construction log.
  • Review construction contractor's monthly application for payment and advise NEC Project Director of findings.

Requirements

  • US Govt. Secret Clearance or higher
  • US Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or Architectural Engineering
  • Some Primavera Experience (don't have to be an expert)
  • Current US PE license can substitute for degree
  • 7 years construction experience
  • ABET accredited international degree accepted in lieu of US Bachelor's or US PE
