Tetra Tech is seeking an entry level Health & Safety/Environmental Specialist I to support our existing and growing backlog of projects in environmental investigation and remediation, as well as projects in the industrial and construction market sectors.  This position is located in Pittsburgh, PA, however, the selected candidate will be responsible for supporting projects located throughout the US.

Your Role:

 :  Prepare Health and Safety Plan documents for assigned projects.
•    Provide onsite health and safety support on environmental investigation and remediation projects, as well as support of projects for commercial clients
•    Ability to use of monitoring/sampling instrumentation; technical expertise in selection of hazard controls including engineering, administrative controls and personal protective equipment,
•    Possess and maintain expertise with health, safety and environmental regulations and standards, with an emphasis on federal OSHA regulations.
•    Lead/perform HSE audits and assessments (internally and for clients)
•    Lead/assist in incident investigations
•    Support the implementation and maintenance of EHS programs policies, procedures, and action plans, including employee training
•    Strong technical writing and oral presentation/communication skills
•    Provide technical expertise and support to HSE topics including:
o    Occupational exposure assessments, including air sampling and monitoring, noise, ergonomics, radiation, and others
o    HSE project and program auditing
o    Task-specific hazard assessments
o    Hazard Communication
o    Indoor air quality
o    Training development and presentation

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from an accredited college or university in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, chemistry, toxicology, or related science.  
•    Zero to three years of relevant professional experience.  
•    Past consulting experience desired, but not required.
