RT4D

The Australian Regional Trade for Development (RT4D) Facility is a $38 million Australian Government initiative that will support effective implementation of the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (AANZFTA) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) to secure predictable, transparent, and market-based frameworks for regional trade and investment. RT4D will provide support to regional (e.g. FTA Joint Committees (FJCs), the ASEAN Secretariat) and national partners (e.g. Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam), while facilitating Australia's diplomatic goals. FTA implementation is occurring within a context of shifting geostrategic relationships and the ongoing impacts of COVID-19.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to onboarding of new team members, specifically on finance and administrative systems and procedures
  • Provide inputs to continuous improvement activities such as updating the Facility Operations Manual and improving business processes based on implementation experience
  • Responsible for all financial management activities for the Facility including bank account and petty cash reconciliations; accounts payable; sourcing of suppliers; review and verification of invoices; data entry into accounting systems; fund transfers from Australia to Indonesia; internet banking, cheque and cash payments
  • Assist the Operations Lead to ensure compliance with statutory requirements (taxation, local employment laws, business registration) of the different Country Offices
  • Manage the issuing of visas/work permits for expatriate staff, advisers, and overseas visitors to Indonesia
  • Be responsible for liaison with local authorities and landlords to oversee the provision of services such as electricity, telephone, security, cleaning, and office maintenance

Selection criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, public administration or other related fields
  • Minimum 7 years relevant professional experience in managing finances, administration and procurement in international development programs
  • Comprehensive computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Office 365, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Good communication skills (both verbally and in writing) in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Experience working in DFAT-funded programs is desirable
  • Practical knowledge in using accounting software (including Quickbooks) is desirable
