Project Summary:

The CTC Grand Challenge leverages innovation and collaboration to prevent corrupt actors from siphoning off critical resources that should be used for the public good. The CTC Grand Challenge solutions will detect and disrupt illicit finance and trafficking in commodities; strengthen transparency and accountability in global supply chains; promote standards, practices, and norms that enhance integrity in the public and private sectors; and address other significant dynamics of transnational corruption. MSI provides management, administration, leadership, and technical expertise that bolsters USAID's efforts to design, support, and implement open innovation programs and disseminate knowledge within USAID and the development community on open innovation successes and lessons learned.

Position Summary:

The Senior Advisor, Anti-Corruption Initiatives and Partnerships will lead on selected CTC Grand Challenge Initiatives from conceptualization, co-design, through partnership development and grant implementation. The Senior Advisor will be an integral part of the CTC Grand Challenge team and supports overall partnership outreach with a focus on the private sector, international organizations, and civil society. The Senior Advisor will support to ensure strategic presence and visibility of the CTC Grand Challenge and its solvers on global and regional levels and provides advice on the strategic direction of the CTC Grand Challenge. This is a long-term, part-time position with an estimated workload of 20-32 hours per week.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead on Grand Challenge subject matter initiatives from concept and design through partnership development, and implementation.
  • Support overall Grand Challenge partnership development and outreach including with the private sector, international organizations, and civil society.
  • Lead on/support the strategic presence and visibility of the Grand Challenge and its solvers in international and regional fora and platforms, including representation and speaking assignments.
  • Provide strategic input and advice on the Grand Challenge's overall direction as requested by the Chief of Staff.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in international affairs, social science, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the areas of anti-corruption and illicit financial flows space required.
  • Experience successfully managing and completing multi-stakeholder initiatives in anti-corruption/illicit financial flows required.
  • Knowledge of key regional and global actors and fora in the field required.
  • Ability to leverage and extend strategic relationships with key organizations, and actors for the benefit of the Grand Challenge required.
  • Strong analytic, interpersonal, and team management skills required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English required. Knowledge of other languages preferred.
