Summary: 

Tetra Tech is currently seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist with experience in hydrogeology, water quality, survey and assessment, remediation of environments, and environmental data analysis and interpretation. This position will require excellent written and verbal communication, client liaison, organization of complex information, and time management. We are seeking an energetic individual interested in supporting a variety of challenging projects in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the team on a variety of environmental, water resource, and remediation projects. 

The position is available in the following locations: San Diego, CA, Sacramento, CA, Tucson, AZ, and Phoenix, AZ. 

Your Role:

  • Application of a wide variety of media collection and monitoring techniques including those used for the surface and subsurface investigations of soil, soil gas, indoor air, groundwater, and industrial materials.
  • Interpretation, remediation, and application of regulatory guidelines for numerous impacts to environmental media including VOCs, PCBs (TSCA), DNAPL, metals, pesticides, dioxins, and hydrocarbons.
  • Lithologic logging (USCS), groundwater well construction and development, aquifer testing and data interpretation using ArcGIS, MAROS, ProUCL, and KT3D-H2O.
  • Coordinate and oversee field investigations, including drilling, well installation, groundwater sampling, and more. Approximately 20% of travel/field work required.
  • Project management activities including:
    • Program management and supervision.
    • Field investigation management and support.
    • Contractor evaluation and procurement.
    • Client Liaison.
    • Data analysis and interpretation.
    • Regulatory oversight communication on projects throughout the southwestern United States.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, studies, environmental impact assessments, remediation plans, etc.
  • Interpret and analyze geological and hydrogeological data to support project decisions and remediation strategies.
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and data records.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technical staff.
  • Manage scopes of work, budgets, and more.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • MS degree in Hydrogeology.
  • 15+ years of experience in environmental and remediation projects.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS, MAROS, ProUCL, and KT3D-H20
  • Current OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Strong problem solving, time management, and verbal/written communication skills required.
  • Ability to travel, oversee, and perform field work related to environmental sampling, drilling, remediation system installation, and maintenance of remediation systems. Approx. 20% of travel/field work required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
  • A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

Target salary range: $100,000 to $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
