Community Therapy Services, a division of The Stepping Stones Group, is hiring immediately for Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in Antelope Valley, CA and the surrounding areas where you can provide state of the art services to children with autism that help us in Transforming Lives Together!   Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour   Earn $250+ per Behavioral or Mental Health hire with our employee referral program     Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program 
  • Current license/certification to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of California 
  • A minimum of 18 months of experience working with children (ages (0-5) with a variety of developmental delays. Preferably in the home or school setting.
  • Confidence working with a variety of disorders, including those with autism and developmental disabilities or related disorders
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to scheduled client homes and schools in assigned region
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus!

  Responsibilities 
  • Planning, implementing, and executing specific treatment programs for clients, according to the principles and practices of Occupational Therapy, under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist
  • Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (play, functional use of hands, sensory-motor activities, oral-motor/feeding activities)  
  • Teach children, parents, and caregivers adaptive and purposeful ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components  
  • Collect and compile data to document clients' performance and document progress
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with organizational policies and procedures related to privacy
  • Collaborate with families and other stakeholders to assure successful growth and goal achievement
  • Interest in developing expertise in specialized areas of interest including feeding certification
