Required Job Specific Competencies:
- Provides direction and guidance for patient activities and teaching related to the perioperative experience
- Coordinates activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing practice
- Provision of nursing care to patients and families in the perioperative setting including the pre surgical and post surgical patient
- Ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments/nursing interventions
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Exhibits leadership skills through active participation in unit- and department-level nursing councils and committees
- Lives the CARES values
Requirements:
- NYS licensed registered nurse required
- Current CPR/BLS required
- ACLS within one year required
- PALS preferred
- CPAN/CAPA preferred
Education:
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing, either AAS or BSN
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of medical/surgical experience preferred
- Cardiac monitoring preferred
- Critical care preferred
- Good Communication skills and skilled in customer service Reliability and flexibility

Position Pay Range: $34.00-48.00/hour
