Description
Summary: Travis Credit Union's (TCU) Records Technician is responsible for the diligent maintenance of TCU's member documentation and records. The accuracy of TCU's recordkeeping ensures consistent internal service for member activities resulting in a positive member experience. Profile:
- Performs various day-to-day activities in support of the Records Department's responsibility to maintain and control member documents and records, i.e., scanning, indexing/data entry, quality control, filing and retrieving member records and documents.
- Removes and prepares closed account files and documents for offsite storage.
- Maintains filing system for the efficient locating of documents and folders, and provides assistance with all department processes.
- Processes requests for document retrieval or return using the Records Request Desk per established procedures.
- Performs ESIG Import. Reviews Investigate File and makes necessary adjustments.
- Distributes completed imaged documents to Records staff for quality control.
- Receives imaged/digital documents and evenly distributes documents to Records staff for quality control purposes.
- Reviews documents held after imaging for destruction, ensuring only documents slated for destruction are shredded and that documents are destroyed per established timelines.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with confidential information.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with all levels of staff.
- Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Accurate data-entry skills.

- HS Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
- Records Technician

- Normally receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new assignments.
- HS Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Associate Records Technician: Grade 6: $17.54/hour - $21.67/hour
- Records Technician: Grade 8: $20.43/hour - $25.24/hour
