Trident Medical Center is a 321-bed major medical center providing a comprehensive range of services and specialties including a 24-hour emergency room with a Level II Trauma Center. The hospital's specialty services include an award-winning Heart Center; the South Carolina Institute for Robotic Surgery; the Trident Breast Care Center; and the Joseph M. Still Burn Clinic, the region's only outpatient burn clinic offering services to patients of all ages. Trident Medical Center offers Critical Care Services and 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist programs. For more than 40 years, Trident Medical Center has proudly served patients and families in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester Counties.

                                                                

We are seeking a Manager of Patient Access for Trident Medical Center to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. As the Manager of Patient Access you will be responsible for assisting the Director in daily operations of all Patient Access functions and serves as the liaison between the Shared Service Center (SSC) and the facility.

 

What you will do in this role:

  • Perform patient registration function when needed to ensure wait times are kept to a minimum

  • Model AIDET guidelines in all interactions with the patient and ensure staff are adhering to the patient experience expectations.

  • Ensure QA on registrations for all areas of Registration

  • Provide continuous training for and communicates changes to existing employees

  • Prepare payroll and completes monthly work schedules as needed to ensure adequate staffing levels

  • Follow-up on patient complaints promptly


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required
  • Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement 
  • Minimum 3 years healthcare management experience
