Trinity Health IHA Medical Group and Trinity Health Southeast Michigan Cancer Program have an excellent full-time opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible, fellowship trained Gynecologic Oncologist to help expand the current program treating patients in the greater Ann Arbor, Michigan area.

This is a state-of-the-art Cancer Program with multiple levels of support including Advanced Practice Professionals, Nurse and Financial Navigators, Social work, Palliative Care and Genetics. Surgical subspecialty support includes fellowship-trained thoracic, breast, colorectal, and hepatobiliary surgeons. TH IHA Medical Group employs greater than 50 gynecologists in the area. Trinity Health has a robust daVinci robotic surgery program available. Radiation services include IMRT, IGRT, and Cyberknife. Pathology support includes fellowship-trained molecular pathologists and hematopathologists as well as a closely integrated regional reference lab.

The program leads the Michigan Cancer Research Consortium (MCRC-NCORP), an exemplary, comprehensive clinical trial program that consists of medical centers that have met the highest standards of excellence in conducting cancer clinical trials. The program consists of thirteen hospitals in Michigan, and several out of state hospitals that collaboratively enroll hundreds of patients on clinical trials each year. MCRC-NCORP consists of over 100 medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons and other specialists who work hard to deliver exceptional cancer care. The MCRC-NCORP is one of 46 research programs established by the National Cancer Institute (NCI).

The Comprehensive Cancer Center is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC), the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and has received certification from ASCO as a Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) practice. The hospital's Comprehensive Women's Center has been designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The program is in the process of applying for National Accreditation for Rectal Cancer Programs. The Cancer Program spans several sites in Southeast Michigan with radiation and infusion available in Chelsea, Brighton, Livonia, Canton, and Ann Arbor. Gynecologic Oncology is centered at TH Ann Arbor. We are looking for Gynecologic Oncology leadership to assist in a plan to support patients across our region. We have highly engaged physicians committed to continuing improvement and our looking for another engaged physician partner.

Medical education is a key component of this position. There is a 16 person OBGYN residency program at TH Ann Arbor and medical student teaching opportunities. Participation in clinical research to support the residents is preferred. Potential opportunity for Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship program for motivated individuals. There is also a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship program based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
