Well established and growing orthopedic multi-specialty private (physician-owned) practice in Northern New Jersey is seeking a full-time Orthopedic Knee & Sports Medicine Surgeon to join our team.
A successful candidate for this position will be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and will have completed an Orthopedic Fellowship focused on the hip and knee reconstruction and/or sports. The candidate should also be comfortable treating other general orthopedic injuries that may present while taking ER Call at a local level 2
community hospital.
Our providers perform surgeries at our two very supportive local hospitals as well as our own partner-owned Ambulatory Surgical Center. Orthopedic ER call is expected of the physician, and the call rotates between our orthopedic surgeons and one other local orthopedic surgeon. Current call is once every 7 nights.
We currently have 2 orthopedic surgeons who specialize in hip & knee joint arthroplasty, and another 2 orthopedic surgeons who are focused on sports reconstructive procedures for the knee. We continue to have overflow with regard to patients who have knee complaints. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with conservative treatment as well as surgical options such as
arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, patellar realignment procedures, and unicompartmental arthroplasty. There is also a need for hip arthroscopy in the local community. Initially the associate would be expected to see all orthopedic conditions that present to the practice, but hopefully would be able to grow a dedicated sports practice over the next 3 to 5 years. Community outreach will facilitate growth and will be supported by the practice.

would come other opportunities to participate in our practice ancillaries and real-estate ventures. Orthopedic partners also share in the reimbursed community orthopedic emergency call revenue from the two local hospitals.

Union, NJ; all 3 are fully equipped with X-Ray and DME. Last summer we opened our physical therapy clinic in Union, NJ, and soon will open another one in Clark, NJ. Union County Orthopaedic Group is composed of 7 orthopedic surgeons, 2 PMR physicians and a podiatrist. Our talented team also includes 5 PAs and 1 NP. We are also one of the founding divisions of OrthoNJ, the largest orthopedic private practice in New Jersey.
