Description
UHS is actively seeking full time Nurse Practitioner (NP) for our Addiction Medicine clinic. This position will provide comprehensive addiction medicine care to patients with substance use disorders. Performs histories and physical exams and medication management visits, and offers medical care for complications of substance use disorders, as clinically appropriate. Engages in all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis and treatment. Orders labs, EKGs, and other tests as clinically indicated. Leads and/or attends multidisciplinary team meetings in the Addiction Medicine Department.
WEEKLY HOURS THAT NURSE PRACTITIONER SHALL PROVIDE:
1. 0.875 of FTE is spent in direct patient care
2. 0.125 of FTE is spent in clinical administrative time for duties such as multidisciplinary team meetings, results review, order management, and patient calls
Qualifications:
1. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree
2. Possession of an NPI (National Provider Identification) number, as evidenced by the receipt of a copy of the notification assigning the number
3. Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program
4. Three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting
5. Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse License
6. American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) certification
7. Current NYS Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license and certification with New York State Education Department
8. Documentation of current CPR certification required within one (1) week of hire, with maintenance of current CPR certification during employment
9. Certified Prescriptive Privilege in NYS
10. Active DEA license
