Employee will have majority of time spent at site assigned providing general obstetrics and gynecology medical care and documentation of same for patients. Provide in-patient and out-patient care and surgery, nighttime laborist on labor and delivery in rotation with other members of UWH, obstetric in-house night call and at home gynecology call in rotation with the combined divisions of Gynecologic Specialties and UWH.
Ensure medical care is delivered in a timely and cost effective manner.
Work with residents and medical students rotating on labor and delivery, the operating room, and the inpatient wards for any admitted patients when serving as attending physician. Teach/supervise OB/GYN residents and medical students including evaluations and performance appraisals. Required Qualifications Must possess an MD or DO. Completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. California Medical License. Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Ability to adhere to UC Policies and Procedures. Ability to assure compliance with billing policies, including review of charge documentation. Ability to triage urgent patient needs. Ability to obtain and maintain privileges as UC Davis Health and care for patients admitted to those facilities. Special Requirements This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
