Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Executive Director, Strategic Technology Initiatives, the Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for requirements gathering and analysis, specification development, supporting system and user acceptance testing, and serving as a resource and subject matter expert for multiple business areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Required:

 

Minimum Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience or training

 

  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in Business Analysis, Requirements Collection, and Documentation.

 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

  • Good interviewing, facilitation, and presentation skills are required.

 

  • Documentation samples are required.

 

  • Demonstrated application of knowledge and skill in complex process improvement, systems requirement documentation standards, and implementation plans, such as Use Case modeling, User Story creations, and narrative description.

Preferred:

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Experience with the creation of System Testing and User Acceptance Testing plans

 

  • Prior Consulting Experience

 

  • Experience working in a Higher Education setting

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

  • Significant exposure to Agile and Waterfall methodologies

 

  • Good understanding of UC Davis business processes
