Position Summary: 

Under the direction of the Director of Perioperative Services, the Service Line Coordinator along with regular circulating duties is also responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operation of the assigned service line and facilitating the patient's movement through the system.  This encompasses: 1) point of contact for patients/families and physicians 2) interface with nursing management and ancillary services to ensure that patient care and patient education is delivered as outlined in clinical pathways and consistent with best practice standards 3) assistance with supply and equipment analysis and purchase recommendation 4) promotion of effective communication between physicians, nurses, and staff through education 5) assist processes for pre-surgical patient education, testing, and consents to ensure clearance and limit day-of-surgery cancellations- active participation in the surgical daily huddles 6) collaboration with nursing leadership regarding patient care practices within the perioperative arena to include rounding and assistance with development, implementation, and monitoring of department education 7) assistance with development and implementation service line policies and procedures 8) participation in surgical volume development/growth initiatives 9) participation in process improvement initiatives

Salary Range: 

 

Hourly Rate  Minimum   $45.08                   Midpoint               $55.73                   Maximum $69.86

 

Required Qualifications:

 

Mandatory:  1) Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California 2) BLS and ACLS certification 3) Five years' experience as a perioperative nurse 4) CNOR certification within 6 months of hire Preferred: BSN
