Position Summary: 

The Incumbent performs a variety of sleep studies to diagnose the type and extent of disorders. Works closely with patients to diagnose and determine therapy for patients with a variety of disorders related to sleep. Technologist's will record and score sleep data and prepare raw data for physician and/or research interpretation. Additionally, will assist in the training and onboarding of new employees, providing guidance to sleep technicians and trainees.

Salary Range: 

 

Hourly Rate  Minimum   $42.72                  Midpoint              $42.72               Maximum $42.72

 

Required Qualifications:

 

 

Ability to function independently with minimal supervision

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Associates degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills

BLS Required

3 or more years of direct patient care experience in Sleep Disorders

2 or more years experience as an RPSGT

Registration through BRPT and the Medical Board of California as a Polysomnographic Technologist

Computer skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Bilingual in Spanish

6 months working in an accredited sleep center

Digital and Analog equipment experience.  BiPAP, AVAPS, ASV, oxygen titration and ETCO2/TcCO2

Basic Arrhythmia Recognition and Treatment training (BART)

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Bachelor's Degree in related field
