Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Facilities, this position is responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment required to supply the hospital with electrical power, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, medical air, medical vacuum, steam and soft water. Responds to customer service issues and prepares a variety of reports as needed. Participates in performance improvement projects as required and appropriately problem solves emergency maintenance issues in the absence of the Director.

Salary Range:
Annual Rate Minimum $81,900.00 Midpoint $116,200.00 Maximum $150,500.00
Required Qualifications:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Demonstrated, strong conflict resolution skills
Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills
Strong knowledge of all types and functions of elevators including applicable elevator codes, standards and regulations
Knowledgeable about strategies for improving utility usage efficiency and concepts related to high performance medical center buildings
Current State of California Driver's License
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must have 3 years of supervisory experience in physical plant operations or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
