Position Summary:
  The All of Us Research Program is a research program from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and part of the Precision Medicine Initiative. Supervises staff involved in routine research study coordination. Receives predetermined work assignments that are subject to a moderate level of control and review. Oversees staff in execution of assignments; trains and mentors staff to improve quality and quantity of work. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The HPO Program Manager will be responsible for supporting research efforts of the UCI All of Us Research Program for the UCI site by providing comprehensive coordination and data management of recruitment and retention according to standard operating procedure (SOPs) and University policies and procedures. The incumbent is responsible for supporting and coordinating all aspects of the UCI All of Us Research Program for protocol specific requirements, research procedures, data collection, and record keeping. Incumbent must have knowledge to assist with recruitment, screening, consenting, administering questionnaires, etc. Incumbent will ensure study protocols are followed, appropriate documentation is kept, and accurate data is collected. Incumbent will assist with the preparation and submission of study documents to the Institutional Review Board (IRB), bimonthly reports to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and other regulatory committees. Incumbent will be responsible for the management of the engagement, recruitment, and retention leads and frontline staff to ensure the recruitment and retention target metrics are met. Incumbent will work closely with other HPO Program Managers, Consortium Program Manager and NIH Program Staff.

  The expected pay range for this recruitment is $81,900.00 - $150,500.00 (Annual Salary). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $81,900.00 - $150,500.00 (Annual Salary).

Required:  
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience. 
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team. 
  • Experience implementing protocols, manage work schedules, and assign tasks. 
  • Experience maintaining staff productivity and tracking of study participants. 
  • Experience in training and quality control.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of clinical or laboratory research, clinical trial recruitment, eligibility, protocol adherence, quality data submission and adverse event reporting. 
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, prioritize projects and meet the demands of a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. 
  • Adaptable to quickly changing priorities. 
  • Demonstrated skills in employee supervision and HR administration. 
  • Demonstrated experience in training others, particularly in the field of research. 
  • Critical thinking skills to evaluate issues and identify a potential solution. 
  • Clear and concise communicator; good verbal and written communication skills; both. 
  • Good interpersonal skills, including but not limited to: problem-solving, teamwork development, leadership, mentorship. Interpersonal skills to effectively motivate others. 
  • Works well with others to achieve common goals. 
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with multiple stakeholders at various levels of administration. 
  • Ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in word processing and spreadsheet software. 
  • Effectively uses campus' clinical information and documentation application programs. 
  • Proven ability utilizing clinical trial management systems.
     
Preferred:  
  • Proficient user of the campus' clinical information and documentation application programs. 
  • Technical proficiency in project management software. 
  • High level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality. 
  • Strong attention to detail. Demonstrated managerial skills and ability to create and direct a high-performing team. 
  • Broad knowledge with recruitment, retention, and study protocol.
