Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Create, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide Situational Crisis Management plans, communications processes, and tools in line with industry best practices and regulatory expectations, including those with suppliers and business partners.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to Develop and manage high-risk or large-scale business-impacting events resulting from cyber, fraud and technology incidents, extreme weather, geopolitical unrest, terror threats, etc. Oversee rapid response efforts in accordance with documented processes to minimize business disruption.
  • Manage crises in a way that aligns to the risk framework and meets business objectives.
    Develop formal reporting schedules, coordinate and deliver enterprise communications to internal and external stakeholders regarding the status of Valley's Business Resiliency and Crisis Management program, including annual reporting, audit report responses and customer requests.
  • Enhance processes related to Crisis Management and Business Resiliency as it relates to delivery and enhancement of Fusion Center integrated services and threat assessment. Develop a framework to leverage a shared database to ensure customer and employee safety from threats and avert business disruption.
  • Facilitate After Action Reviews (AARs) following an incident or exercise to assess the response effort, identify lessons learned to incorporated in plans and enhance response capabilities. Assess recovery requirements verses recovery capabilities and develop strategies to mitigate significant gaps and risks.
  • Coordinate program audits -- internal and external, as well as customer/prospect requests for program assessments and assist business and support functions in evaluating tools and technology that support the enterprise's response, recovery, and restoration strategies.
  • Advise business units and IT in conducting risk assessments and business impact analyses, developing appropriate business disruption risk mitigation strategies and controls, and in creating, implementing, exercising, and maintaining business continuity and incident management plans.
  • Stay abreast of markets, banking industry trends and best practices in threat identification and response and monitor emerging security threats. Review technology solutions to ensure best practices are in place.
  • Evaluate security threats, participate in remediation activities, foster threat awareness, and engage with stakeholders to provide guidance in risk mitigation.
  • Provide insights before conducting due diligence on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, new products/services, facility changes and others.
