Position:

This position is a full time, 36 hours per week position, and primary to day shift.  However, this position is required to flex to alternate shifts to accommodate the training needs on off shifts. The position requires an RN to design, implement, organize and evaluate educational programs which facilitate the professional growth, skill, development and competency while utilizing general education and adult educational principles. This position reports to the Education Manager. This is a non-union hourly position with limited weekend & no holiday requirement.

Qualifications:

• Currently licensed to practice in the State of Ohio
• BSN required
• Current American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certification required
• BLS AHA Instructor preferred
• ACLS AHA Instructor preferred
• PALS AHA Instructor Preferred
• Three years nursing experience required.  Once year of teach experience preferred.
• One year of clinical education experience preferred

Responsibility:

• HealthStream Administrator including EMR/EPIC HealthStream build
• Lead Instructor of Nursing Department Orientation and annual competencies
• Orient new nurses and nursing assistants to policies and operation of the glucometer.  
• PAPR Instructor – orienting new hires monthly.
• Restraint Instructor - orienting new hires monthly.
• Provides annual education and competency testing.
• Comprehensive current knowledge of nursing and health practices
• Evidence of good communication skills
• Ability to work well one-on one or in groups
• Other duties as assigned by Education department i.e. ACLS Instructor, ECG Instructor, POCT Glucometer Instructor, AVADE Instructor & etc.
• Maintains all required qualifications for area assigned.
• Physically able to perform the functions of the position.
• All other tasks as assigned.
