Position:

This position is for a full time RN Unit Coordinator responsible for the inpatient unit. The RN Unit Coordinator will manage the daily delivery of care to include determining staffing needs, ensure clinical quality, assess safety needs, and service needs and make recommendations. The position reports to the Director of Inpatient Services. 

Qualifications:

1. Currently licensed and registered to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio
2. Bachelor Degree required or a signed commitment to complete within five years 
3. BLS and ACLS required
4. PALS required within one year
5. Minimum of three years of previous critical care and medical-surgical experience with demonstrated administrative and leadership abilities

 Job Responsibilities

1. Work with nursing director and house supervisor to obtain reports on all patients, rounding as needed 
2. Support fully the organizations vision and mission 
3. Serve as a clinical resource to all staff
4. Respond to all codes in the unit 
5. Assist to resolve all computer issues and act as a super user 
6. Be knowledgeable of all policies and procedures for critical care and medical surgical patients
7. Coordinate with the education department for all required unit training and individual employee training
8. Assist with critical thinking and skill development for all RNs on the unit
9. Attend unit meeting with the director 
10. Participate on the Medication Safety committee
11. Work closely with Hospital Leadership on unit and organization initiatives
12. Work with physicians on clinical concerns in conjunction with the director
13. Support unit goals, hold staff accountable, give constructive feedback, and redirect/discipline as necessary
14. Assist with payroll as needed
15. All other duties as assigned
