The Account Executive will be responsible for developing, cultivating and procuring sales and account management of the internet listing service and sister RENTCafe' services within the multifamily property management industry. The Account Executive will foster success through building logical business networks, as well as creating and improving Yardi's client relationships through account management, service delivery and leadership representation.


  • Sells ILS tools via sales calls, consultative solutions, product presentations and involvement at client and industry events and tradeshows
  • Cultivates and manages client and prospect relationship pipelines at the property and regional management levels
  • Conducts heavy prospecting and cold calling activities to identify new sales opportunities for an assigned territory
  • Development and execution of outbound call and email campaigns
  • Will be responsible for a minimum of 24 monthly appointments, a combination of both online and onsite presentations demonstrating RENTCafe's ILS solutions
  • Participates in industry events, tradeshows and client events on a regular basis
  • Will be responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals
  • Maintains accurate account information, activity tracking, forecasting and action items in Yardi's CRM system.
  • Participates in daily team sales huddles to report on sales activity actions and status of all opportunities and new acquisitions in the sales pipeline
  • Establishes a maintains a verifiable qualified sales pipeline, focused on achieving goals and stretch goals to support continued revenue growth
  • Actively listens to client needs, identifying sales/service opportunities and providing information and referrals to the appropriate RENTCafe' sales team member on other suite products to reinforce company-wide revenue growth
  • Participates in ongoing industry and product subject matter education on personal and professional development level
  • Onsite property level relationship management, product knowledge, training and issue escalation/resolution
  • 50% of work time spent in face to face appointments with prospects and existing clients
  • Local travel is required within the specified territory


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Prior background in Internet Listing Service sales highly desirable
  • Solid knowledge base in sales and ability to apply basic sales principles (i.e. lead generation, opportunity qualification, proposal development, account management and closure)
  • Ability to effectively execute sales strategies using a consultative approach and relationship building techniques
  • Ability to interface well with management level decision makers
  • Confident and engaging presentation skills and ability to demonstrate product value
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to internally motivate, work interdependently, and effectively with individuals and team members irrespective of background
  • Ability to develop and maintain solid long-term client relationships
  • Ability to understand and demonstrate technical products
  • Ability to work with and embrace emerging technology applications relating to daily tasks and industry relationships
  • Familiarity with RENTCafe' marketing suite product solutions
  • Familiarity with the industry ILS and marketing solution competitive climate
  • Experience using a CRM system, and updating data points to support up to date digital client contact information and sales/service activity
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals
